ABOUT THE RIDING HABIT
Welcome to The Riding Habit! We are Andy and Diane, the proud owners of Queensland Farm, where our shop is based. Our love for horses started when we met in 1986. Diane had been involved with horses since childhood, but it was a new world for Andy. However, it didn't take long for him to realise the joy and excitement of the equine world.
After a search for a new home for Diane's horses, we stumbled upon Queensland Farm; it was the perfect place. With space to keep the horses and a small shop to sell equestrian equipment, we began our journey. Over the years, we have gradually built up our shop with a small level of stock, which has grown year on year.
Our passion for horses extends beyond just our shop - we also run a Shetland pony stud, Claylands. We have some amazing ponies, including our finest pony, Percy, who has won numerous prizes at top shows.
The farm is not only home to our ponies but also to other furry friends like border collies Gem and Jess, cats Elsa and Alice, and three sheep named Tiger, Mr. No Ears, and Mr. Big Ears. We love to share our animals with our customers; children especially enjoy coming to see the ponies, and we are always happy to show them around.
We take pride in providing the best quality equestrian equipment and clothing for our customers, and we stay up to date with the latest trends and styles. Diane has even been nominated for the hat fitter of the year award organised by the worlds leading riding hat manufacturer, Charles Owen.

In addition to our extensive range of equestrian products, we also offer stable and paddock items to help you create a safe and comfortable environment for your horse. From buckets, trugs, mangers, hay and haylage nets, forks, brushes, and shovels to rubber matting and bedding from Aubiouse, Nedzbed, Megazorb, dust-extracted shavings, and cardboard, we have everything you need to keep your stable clean and tidy. For the paddock, we stock electric fencing from Rutland, paddock grass seed from Baileys and Argo, and organic fertiliser from Top Paddock and Suregrow. We can even spread it for you!

For those who live within 20 miles of us, we offer free delivery on horse feed and bedding with a minimum order of £50.
