Sunburn can be a real problem for your horse or pony. Sunburn Soother contains natural minerals that give factor 25+ protection and concentrated plant derivatives to soothe areas already damaged by the sun.

Sunburn Soother is in liquid form for quick and invisible absorption, to give invisable cover. It does not include perfumes or thickeners as these in themselves can cause pain to animals already sunburned.

A little exposure to sunshine is great for the well being of your horse, providing warmth and the essential conversion of vitamin D. However, some horses are susceptible to normal sun exposure, and if neglected can lead to serious problems.
Sunburn is a chemical reaction in the skin to the sun's ultraviolet rays. Exposure can lead to soreness, inflammation and tissue damage, especially in non-pigmented skin areas, such as, the backs of the heels, muzzle, eye areas including the eyelids and the mouth. Horses and ponies with large patches of pale, pink, white areas like skewbalds, piebalds, palaminos and albinos are all prone to burning and skin damage. Pale skin is due to low amounts of of melanin and is more susceptible to 'squamous cell carcinoma' one of the most common conditions known to be sun related.

Don't be sorry! Protecting your horse and pony against this disease and regularly examining them for early signs of the disease is extremely important. Neglected suburn can result in an irreversible situation.
