Charles Owen has incorporated an energy absorbing peak into their popular hat range, making it safer than most jockey skulls. This technological breakthrough has enabled riders to retain a smart and traditional appearance, whilst remaining safe. The beliefs of many peak loving traditionalists have been confirmed!
The Showjumper XP has a slightly lower profile than previously with a shallower peak yet retains the classical deep fit. The supersoft headband is embedded with high tech silver ions, providing built-in antimicrobial protection, keeping the helmet hygienic and free from smells.
Kitemarked to PAS015, BSEN1384. Also Certified by SEI to ASTM F1163.
The European standard BSEN1384 1997 replaces BS4472 and BS6473. PAS015 is the british version of the european standard, and although both standards are similar PAS015 offers slightly better protection. The majority of Equestrian Associations have made the use of AS015/BSEN1384 headwear compulsory. The BSJA insist that all riders wear PAS015/BSEN1384.
